Ken Birks has walked with God through seasons of
quiet wonder, deep refining, and unexpected grace
— journeys that have shaped both his faith and
voice. From early moments of sensing God’s
nearness to years of learning to listen more
closely, Ken has discovered that the Lord often
speaks in whispers, rhythms, and poetic
impressions.
Out of those sacred encounters
came a desire to write — not to impress, but to
invite. To invite others into the same stillness,
the same clarity, the same holy encouragement that
has carried them through life’s valleys and
mountaintops. His devotional poetry flows from a
heart that has wrestled, worshiped, and been
transformed by the presence of God. Today, Ken
writes to help fellow believers pause, breathe,
and rediscover the treasures God longs to place
within them. Ken’s hope is simple: that every
reader will feel the Father’s nearness, hear His
voice more clearly,
and
walk with renewed courage into the calling He has
lovingly prepared.

I
have known my friend, Ken Birks, for 38 years. He
is a man of absolute integrity. He is a diligent
student of the Bible. He is a Holy Spirit-filled
teacher. His books contain many scriptures
referred to and identified in the pages. In short,
his books are based on the Bible. Ken is also an
example of his writing in his books. I recommend
his books to individuals, small group leaders,
pastors, churches, Bible schools, and seminaries.
His book, The Journey, will help make disciples
out of believers.
Jim Feeney, Ph.D., Former Sr. Pastor
I've
known Pastor Ken Birks for several decades. He and
I have served in various ministerial roles within
the same family of churches. Ken is held in
extremely high esteem among our many pastoral
colleagues. He is a minister with a firm grasp of
the Word of God, a broad range of administrative
skills, a heart for souls, proven experiential
familiarity with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and
an unwavering commitment to the work of the Lord.
